…because life is too precious to be miserable
I’ve been busy with day to day stuff that I have not had time to sit down and blog. But I just can’t pass up the opportunity to give a proper shout-out to the most wonderful husband on the face of the earth. Belated Happy Birthday, Tum! J
I am the luckiest woman alive to have such a loving, doting & just all-around best husband! I can’t imagine life without you. I pray that all of your heart’s desires come true. Quino & I will always be beside you all the way. Thank you for taking such good care of us! We love you!

Happy new year, friends! More importantly, I hope we all have a wonderful and prosperous decade!
Just a quick post to let you know I’m still alive
I’ve been remiss in updating this blog because I took a 3-week Christmas break. Just got back to regular programming last Monday and still haven’t gotten my groove back. Not to mention, I’m suffering from dizziness spells and headaches. I was hoping to leave my health problems in 2009 but sadly, that is not the case. I’ve been back and forth to the hospital and am awaiting the results of my TSH blood test to determine if I have hypothyroidism. Truthfully, I would welcome a positive result so that I can put a name to all the symptoms I’ve been experiencing and start treatment and medication right away so I can get back to feeling normal.
But enough whining. This year, this is my prayer (c/o Bo Sanchez)
“I declare I’ll have a super-blessed year in 2010! I claim a year of amazing abundance for my life. This year, I shall receive more love and give more love. I shall experience more joy, greater generosity, dreams fulfilled, financial increase, open doors, new opportunities, divine connections, supernatural appointments, great miracles, answered prayers, and exponential growth—Amen!”
Don’t you just love a new year? It brings so much hope! I can feel positive vibes all around! I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to keep this positive energy going throughout the year. I know it takes a lot of willpower but I’m going to do it! After all, this blog is not named My Happy Thoughts for nothing. So I’m secret-ing all my heart’s desires and I’m claiming them as mine. I know they will arrive in time.
Friends, let’s make all our wishes come true this 2010!

Quino was finally baptized last Saturday, Nov. 14. The original date was Oct. 3 but due to the threat of typhoon Pepeng, we postponed it for fear that no one would attend. Our little boy is now officially a Christian. He was such a good baby and didn’t fuss at all the whole day. But by the end of the evening, he was passed out in his car seat. Sharing some pictures with you.
Salma Hayek said in an interview after giving birth:
What women need to keep in mind, rah-rahs Hayek, is that “you just did the most amazing thing a human being can do, which is give the opportunity for a new life. We should feel like queens and give ourselves a little bit more of a break.”
So that’s my official excuse for stumbling off the wagon of healthy-eating. That’s my excuse for finishing a big bag of Doritos, Maltesers, Roller coaster and a few bites of Lay’s Sour Cream n Onion
Yes, I’m giving myself a break from all the diet and exercise. I call these bumps in the road my weekly cheat treats. My husband says I don’t have a right to a weekly cheat treat because he argues that I cheat the whole week! ![]()
